Somers, CT Engagement Session | Connecticut Wedding Photographers

I love it when the bride and groom decide to take their engagement photos in a place that is meaningful to them. This particular session shows just that, and their story is so sweet!

Jessica says, "Eric and I met online through mutual friends at the beginning of 2015. We would talk about our common interests such as fishing and hunting. Our first date was also the day we met for the first time. He came and picked me up in his truck, early I might add which I have since learned is the norm for him. I on the other hand am always late, with no exception that day. I rushed out the door with my arms full holding my compound bow and arrows and I saw him in person for the first time. I knew instantly that I was going to fall in love with this man. He took me to the Somers Sportman Association Range to shoot our bows together. Hunting is something we both enjoy and it was so much fun to share that together.

Fast forward to last summer. Eric is a police officer and has to go to the gun range often to qualify. It was June 27th, and also my birthday. We had been doing yard work all day when he told me he had to go qualify and asked if I would like to come quickly and keep him company. When we arrived, instead of pulling down to the gun range we pulled over at the archery area. Confused, he asked me to jump out of the truck with him. This is when he proposed, in the same spot as our first date. This place is so special in our story together and wanted to share that in our engagement session."
