We have so many couples ask us, "What do we do for photos if it rains on our wedding day?" So. Many. Alicia and I went back and forth a couple of times that week, planning indoor locations and talking about umbrellas for the bridal party shots. Not only were the umbrellas perfect, but her bridal party went outside and did their thing. With smiles!
The best advice I have for what to do if it rains is to have a backup plan for photos (indoor locations, umbrellas, etc.) but more importantly to remember it will still be one of the most memorable days of your life. So just remember to have fun! You'll get some beautiful night shots to finish the evening, too!
Alicia and her bridesmaids got ready at Pavilion on Crystal Lake, in their bridal suite. Her Maggie Sottero gown from The Wedding Embassy was beautiful, with just a hint of blush pink through the ivory. Those Badgley Mischka heels were the perfect accessory, in a blush pink to match her florals from Wallingford Flower Shoppe.
Alicia and Andrew's ceremony was filled with friends, family, and tying the knot. Literally! They tied a fisherman's knot on a keepsake piece of wall art to commemorate their day, which was a great way to end the ceremony before sneaking outside to grab a few portraits before the reception. The rain was coming down pretty strong, but Alicia and Andrew were all smiles.
Their wedding reception at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake was filled with dancing, toasts, cake, and lots of crazy shenanigans, just as it should be!
Alicia & Andrew, we wish you a long & happy marriage, with hopes that you always smile through the rain!
